1 The Proverbs (1) of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; 2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; 4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. 5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

 

2. Have you ever had a discussion with someone with whom you notice doesn’t know at all what they are talking about, but they are exaggeratedly confident they have the all the answers? Everyday dozens of these cases are in the news! People want to make up their own realities and they cannot see through their illogicalness. In our dystopian world recently the law in some places is enforcing absurd craziness! There is a case of a 69 year old man is suing to have his birth certificate show he is 49, not 69!? ! https://nypost.com/2018/11/08/dutch-man-sues-to-lower-his-age-by-20-years-on-birth-certificate/ Logic, clarity, and common sense today are being replaced with confusion from the author of confusion, our cruel murderous adversary, Lucifer. He is growing as a deadly virus with his evil and darkness and he wants to be labeled and worshipped as good and light!?

 

Let’s test your logical thinking skills. Spanish is spoken in all the Latin countries, 21 of them, so does that mean if we want to know how many people speak Spanish in the world we should add all those populations? Yes, no, maybe so? Did you know what you will get? Around 300 million! Is it that number? If your said ‘yes’ I just taught you a lesson on flawed logic. To know the total amount of Spanish speakers in the world you must include all the immigrants in all the countries around the world that speak Spanish as well so that number is closer to 427 million! In the U.S. alone there are over 50-60 million!

 

Logic, and deductive reasoning, which in some regards is comparable to discernment with the Holy Spirit, does not function in all people, as a matter of fact, Satan has been effective in thwarting it in a majority of the people of the world! Logic, a form of wisdom, is being subdued and suppressed everywhere!

 

3. We live in a world where laws in some places do not allow you to call a male a male and logic and common sense are against the law! The ability to reason on a level above that of a simple beast is something that has to be learned through the teachings of people who speak truth and logic. The quickest way towards this kind of intelligence is to read, learn, and obey the Bible! Moses, the prophets, and Jesus all taught on this. You can only reason with a clear mind if your mind (which influences the heart and all good or bad decisions) is full of light. Moral values, right statutes, or good principles are found in God’s word, such as in the Proverbs. 

 

‘To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity’.

 

Logical evidence, as with in depth reasoning, makes enlightened sense because it is without doubts and confusion, revealing the truth of things. But what is disconcerting is how many people there are out in the world that are blind to simple truths, and blind to normal cognitive reasoning. Many people may have intelligence to memorize facts for educational study, but this does not transfer into having wisdom, logic, and a mind like God’s. If the Word of God has not influenced a person to analyze differently and be connected to the highest source or resource (God) then this person will always be concluding things erroneously because his or her mis-factual information is based on another’s flawed logic. He or she is in the dark with no revealing light on the matter. People of late have lost their logical minds!  Just what Satan wanted! The blind leading the blind!

 

4. Let’s look at a few of the illogicalnesses of the ill-informed masses of people. There are people who repeat what others in the world say or do and think without ever thinking through the logic or consequences of what they are doing or saying or proposing. They do not think through the consequences of what their words and actions might produce. 2 Timothy 3:7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

 

 

Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. (prepare for the future, but wisely)

 

How many times have we seen people obey illogical orders. Here is an example, in the Katrina Disaster in New Orleans people were told to not leave town and told to go stay in the stadium downtown, as the danger was deemphasized. Soon the police closed off the bridge and no one could get out or town after those first few days. A few wise ones foresaw the future possibility of being trapped inside and did leave the city early. These were the wise ones. The rest of the people who stayed in the stadium suffered greatly as there was no preparation to feed, house, or take care of the many thousands of people there, many of them being elderly and weak, so after prolonged days several people died! Toilets overflowed and it was horrible! With God given logic and wisdom the Christian with logical sense will take action before the danger sets in. More often than not we must go against the grain and current of the majority and the world’s dictates! How many thousands of times have we seen the news channels end up being totally wrong!

 

5. I have prayed for discernment and clear logic so many times in my life that I have lost count. Discernment, logic, and the Holy Spirit (which work together) will help you to rightly judge situations and see the schemes people are trying to pull on you. Be forewarned, Satan wants you dead, sick, or compromised in sin so you will not keep defending your faith in God, Jesus, and the Bible!

 

Here is a good promise of God. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. Daily I think most of us are placed in situations in which we must take decisions, decisions that affect our lives and the lives of others. We need the Lord’s guidance, or we will make big mistakes and then it takes weeks, if not years, to correct the situation.

 

Often, we must take decisions that seem illogical to the people of the world. 1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; For example, when we were recruited to be Cadets in the Salvation Army, my wife had already worked for Delta Airlines for 9 years and was about to get great pay and benefits (at 10 years) and it seemed to most everyone an illogical time to leave it all behind. It was a bad idea to those of the world who only live for money and position. But after 20 years now, she is very happy she took the right decision to serve God! God’s logic often contradicts the world’s logic. God has a higher purpose for us, but we will miss it if we are not praying, listening, and obeying His word. 

 

6. More on the illogicalness of the people of the world. Jesus confronted the most highly educated, intelligent, rulers of his time, the scribes and Pharisees. These were a class of people that lived with wealth and power, and under the Romans, they were able to try, judge, and condemn whomever they wanted to amongst their own kind. They were the literate governing body, the communications media, and the spiritual rulers all in one. But despite all their access to knowledge and their genetic intelligence and logic, they were blind as a bat as many educated and rich powerful people are today!

 

What did Jesus say about them? That we should strive to prosper and become rich, and powerful and discerning like them? No! He said to beware of these kinds of deceivers! Matthew 15:14 “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Matthew 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.” The extremely rich religious leaders, college professors, and politicians today fit this description! We must recognize clearly that they are led by the false light of Lucifer. Never be enticed by their wealth, power, and bold illogical, deceitful words and deeds! 

 

7. So, this problem of people not having any logical reasoning ability, wisdom from God, or discernment from the Holy Spirit is not something new! It was around in Solomon’s time (he wrote the Proverbs to address this issue!), in Jesus’ day as we see that He addressed it, and this insane, Satanic, illogicalness will increase until the end of the age. 

 

This is the blindness Satan has put on those who reject God, Jesus, and those who cannot process evidence and concrete factual truths! If the people want strong delusion, then God will let them have it! 2 Thess.2:10-13 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness

 

You can show some people the facts and the truth on matters, and they will not believe nor accept them because it does not square up with how they want things to be, because it does not serve their inordinate selfishness ambitions.  These are blind people being led by blind which include governors, actors, musicians, and some religious leaders. Have you ever asked yourself, ‘How blind am I’? 

 

8. In the world’s education several standard models of logic exist. As Christians we should include in our knowledge the basic studies of philosophers, but only to a limited degree as the Greeks being wise in their own eyes became fools. Sometimes in the world we will need to debate or teach deep thinkers, those who have studied these types of concepts. Not all concepts are evil, some are good but discernment from God is the key factor. Consider these details of what logic should include as defined by past scholars: 

 

Consistency, which means that no theorem of the system contradicts another.

Validity, which means that the system's rules of proof never allow a false inference from true premises.

Completeness, which means that if a formula is true, it can be proven, i.e. is a theorem of the system.

Soundness, meaning that if any formula is a theorem of the system, it is true. This is the converse of completeness. 

Expressivity means one can express concepts within the system which has no errors.

 

All of these filters or concepts can lead you to sound deductive truths, and obviously all truth will coincide with everything God’s Word has taught us. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

 

Christians must do their best to influence others out of darkness, confusion, stupidly, illogicalness, and falsehoods. In our current climate the Bible, Jesus, and the truth (& the truth on any matter) is usually mocked, considered dumb or unintelligent, persecuted, and silenced. But the truth will stand on its own and we must speak it in order for it to be a part of the narrative amongst our families, friends, and the community. Jesus did not remain silent when contradicted, neither should we concerning God’s standards. 9. There is a time for everything, a time to fight for the truth, for logic, and for sanity, but with some people that have their minds fried from demons, those who reject Christ, you have to let it go. Proverbs 26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him. Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting. Many stubborn mind crippling demons will not exit except by prayer & fasting on the part of those involved.

 

Romans 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 

With true children of God there is a unity, a love, a logicalness, a consistency, and a simplicity that makes sense and it brings peace. 

 

With God there is order, consistency, understanding, wisdom, and logic! Don’t try to argue, entertain, or get emotionally charged over those who insist on things being their way when you see clearly that they adhere to illogical demonic insanity! Stick with the Holy Scriptures as the time proven wisdom we must live by. Logical sense, common sense, God’s sense are all the same! Try the spirits; ignore, mock, or condemn falsehoods because God’s Word is the only thing that makes logical sense in this evil world full of false illogical news, false illogical doctrines, and false illogical people. Let’s pray for discernment…

Romans 1: 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

 

2. Have you ever been informed about something, or seen something, and when you get more information, the facts don’t add up? There is the simple trick of showing a person a front view and a side view of an object. From one view the object looks like a rectangle, and from another angle the object looks like a circle. Instantly a majority conclude, this is not the same object! But when someone shows them more dimension, it comes to light that the object is a cylinder! 

 

In order to appreciate the Word of God, which reveals all truth you have to start with a blank page, you must be ready to rewire it all. This is very hard for most people, and I think it is next to impossible to over-write what has been engraved in the mind unless you begin with Jesus. Jesus in one of His first messages stated that, “You must be born again” (John 3). Have you been born again? Have you repented to the point you know you are an absolute idiot and weak sinner without the guidance of Jesus’ Word? If so, then God has a chance to remake you, to smash your clay vessel shaped by the world and remold it into a useful vessel for Him.

 

I am inspired to instruct on these historically named sciences because I see heresy everywhere in most of the world’s textbooks. Fake information has been around for a long time! Many Christians reveal by their support for unbiblical stances that they are either very recently born babies in the Lord and ignorant of His Word, that they are people who have been groomed by pastors with false information and doctrines, or they are rebellious to grow up and accept the new wine or way to live the Lord is trying to speak into them. The Holy Spirit will bear witness in you if you ask for discernment over all words.

 

3. The issue is most people do not perceive their own mental cultural filters. When you filter coffee, does the water in your machine go through little holes in metal, through a cloth sock as in Brazil, or through a paper filter? Differences or customs are everywhere. No one can be exempt from the culture him or her was raised in which shapes how you think and perceive the world, but most people never even question if there is more than one way to understand or filter something unless they have been immersed into another culture for quite some time or prayed to have the gift of discernment. The tragedy is all cultures have degraded from God’s word into a delusion of the worship of nonsensical things. Only a few churches get it right.

 

What should you do anytime you are hearing preaching, teaching, or reading the Word (or any material)? You must pray for the Holy Spirit to talk to you, to reveal to you if the information you are receiving is the truth of God or not. Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

 

Here is another verse from Ephesians 2:2 ‘Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.’  In your life with Jesus, you draw a timeline of when you were controlled by the world, by your own stubborn self or even demonic forces, which divides when your life in Christ began. It is Jesus that must make us into a totally a new creature! (I Cor, 5:17) It is the written Word that reshapes us, this why knowing reading and grammar is necessary.

 

4. Of the seven science topics, today we begin with the knowledge of grammar. Let’s read the Wikipedia definition of it. “In linguistics, grammar (from Greek: γραμματική) is the set of structural rules governing the composition of clauses, phrases, and words in any given natural language. The term refers also to the study of such rules, and this field includes phonology, morphology, and syntax, often complemented by phonetics, semantics, and pragmatics.

 

When you think of language, what is the first Biblical account of language being used? Genesis 2:19 “And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.” Adam could talk! Adam spoke words and structured them in sentences. Notice that animals only make sounds even though many, such as apes, sheep, or horses, have a nasal cavity, a tongue, and a vibrating throat box as we do, but none of them have a unique ability to speak within a grammar construct. It’s God gift to us!

 

If you want to find out how many complexities are in language, you should teach a deaf child as I did. Our son Paul learned to pronounce many words (even though he could not hear them!) and he learned how to compose phrases and thus learned to read. But grammar is extremely complex and by teaching English as a second language, I learned just how many irregularities and exceptions to the rules there are. Most of us speak automatic and have a hard time explaining why you say things in a certain way. But language is not just something learned on paper, it includes the ability to understand variations and accents, interpret additional connotations to words, perceive sarcasms or exaggerations, and associate mental pictures with actions and objects linking them with pronouns, adjectives, and other qualifiers. Like when Southerners say, “Well, bless your little heart”, it actually means the opposite!

 

5. What I would like to point out in these seven sermons is the fact that Adam was created and taught by God himself in all knowledge matters. Adam learned everything about how the mind works, about how life and genetics work, about sacred math and geometry, about the earth and the magnetic and electrical fields, and even about the universe and the stars. Adam must have been the most intelligent human being ever created because God taught him everything about everything.

 

So here is the first test of accepting the truth of God, will you believe the contradictory science of today, that claims man evolved from millions of years of evolution (with dubious carbon dating and many contradictory discrepancies), or believe that God created man already evolved and intelligent? The first men were only a little lower than the angels in ability and more evolved than what we are capable of today. (Psalm 8:5) The first men were not cave dwellers making grunting sounds like an ape as shown on cartoons, people were eloquent and developed nations and unexplainable complex, still-standing, structures that people cannot even repeat today! We have devolved, not evolved!

 

What is ironic is the pyramids and thousands of complex structures worldwide coinciding on parallel grid lines, ancient texts, and many anomalies do not fit the picture of the first man being a brute beast living in a cave. Some people today want to explain it away, that aliens gave man the knowledge to advance in technology, but as Christians do we believe in aliens? If you do, then you must explain who created them! Christians believe in angels and demons, and both were involved with people from the beginning. Man built complex structures by what God had revealed, but some men applied this knowledge for good, while others applied it for their own pride to create a pantheon of Gods, not worshiping the true God, Yahweh. The first downgrade was sin, the sin of disobedience, pride and the rejection of God. 

 

6. Adam taught his children all the things he learned from God. In the same manner that God created Adam with a mind that could handle extremely complex information, and in the same manner this guided him to name the animals, God also gave him and his children the creative ability to communicate in many fashions. Consider the following taken from ancient texts,

 

“Enoch was credited with the invention of sacred symbols and hieroglyphics; hieroglyph is translated by the Craft as “sacred carvings.” Enoch (and all ancient people) invented hieroglyphics as a means to both preserve and transmit the sacred truths in a manner safer, more accurate, and more efficient than the verbal manner, which was employed before.”

Why is grammar important? Because without a developed vocabulary, without an agility in communicating with others and being able to record it, without being able to understand and make yourself understood, you would live disabled to accomplish anything! In another country when you can’t speak the language you learn how hard it is quick to not know or be able to control language or grammar! You are helpless and must start as a baby to learn speech.

 

7. Did you know that some linguists today think that hieroglyphs are easier to communicate with than regular spelled words? Think about the dash lights in cars, or road signs, it is true, a simple little image can communicate a lot very quickly so ancient man in Samaria and Egypt was not limited or ignorant in grammar expression by icons. The Nag Hammurabi Codex is believed to be one of the most ancient writings of Sumer and it has complicated laws and is very large in volume. I have a book of it whenever you want to read it, but it is like a law book, not so exciting. But historians agree, humans have always had a complex developed language.

 

Early man’s error was that he started following the recorded instructions of the sons of Cain which appear for the establishment of the worship of the pantheon of gods in Egypt. Do you know which language dominated most people in the beginning? Most scholars trace the roots all the way back to the Semitic people (Sumer region), and this includes the Hebrews, Arabs and all the people from around the world originating from the area form where Noah’s ark landed. 

 

Moses brought down the Commandments of God from Mt. Sinai and I believe, as a few Bible scholars do, that this is where the Paleo Hebrew language originated (a more complex grammar that the hieroglyphs). Moses was raised in Egypt and knew their language of hieroglyphics. It seems from Moses we have the origins of first alphabet (from God Himself). Consider this, Alef is the first letter of Hebrew, Alpha is in Greek, Latin has A (same as ours), so do you see a pattern? It is A ! So, grammar has common ancestral roots. Nimrod, a descendant of evil Cain, wrote on 2 pillars much of the sacred knowledge of God but he corrupted it. Enoch was a pre-flood being, and Nimrod was post-flood one who may have read these columns, but the point is that never have people been without a written highly developed language. (Contrary to the teaching that cave dwellers had no grammar language but could only draw stick figures).

 

8. How do you develop vocabulary and learn to speak with phrases beyond simple survival words? At first from your parents, then from the school, but later it comes from reading. My mother made me read the Bible when I was about age 8 and I didn’t understand everything, but I was challenged to learn more. The Bible is the best education for everything! I was fascinated by the Bible stories. Church activities for kids is extremely important so they can get interested in reading and learning more about God. If they don’t learn to worship God, the world will teach them to worship other things as we read in Romans 1.

 

The schools are not even teaching kids how to read anymore! And grammar is ignored! That is Satan robbing you and me and our children of our God given right to be able to read, communicate, and be understood! Satan does not want anyone to be able to read God’s Word! Demonic social engineers want to create dumb, almost illiterate, worker ants! One of the most successful ways is to dumb kids down is with new confusing grammar systems so that it makes no sense, so the kids never learn language correctly or efficiently. Ibonics and vulgar speech is glorified in movies and music, so that for a teen to speak language correctly amongst peers is a ‘not cool’ thing. As a teen my language got corrupted by vulgarity and slang, but I cleaned it up after getting close to Jesus! Movies and songs today have so much vulgarity is repulsive!

 

If you consider the entire world, I think possibly half or more of the world is bi or tri lingual! It takes work but most of us are capable of learning grammar and languages on a higher level, from more than one system as well. Why do I care about you being studious in language? Because without it you will not be able to lead others in the Bible to God’s truth. You are going to be limited to God unless you learn to grammatically communicate the Bible with others! I love it when we read the Word out loud as faith comes ‘by hearing the Word’ and we can hear by seeing and then by pronunciation. 

 

9. After the Korean war ended in 1953, the country was in a total disaster. The Americans did help South Korea a bit to rebuild but do you know what was the first thing they did? The Koreans wanted the missionaries to teach them the Bible so guess what the missionaries had to do first? They had to teach an entire generation to read! And they learned! And almost instantly they progressed from out of the dark ages into an industrial age competing with Japan and China! Korea is one of the most Christian countries in Asia too! But not the North, they are still in the dark ages mainly because the Bible is forbidden! Their despot leader who murders opponents is their god. This is an example of the devolution of man worshipping a brute beast.

 

Another issue I have is there are certain culture groups of people in society that think they do not need all of what the schools offer. And it is true, many schools are wasting the time of our youth on subjects that they will never need, and they never teach the practical things like doing taxes or changing the oil in your car. And the High School drop-out rate is disturbing! Again, all is under Satan’ s administration to alienate us from learning about worshipping and obeying God. Schools have killed the kid’s appetites for learning.

 

Do you know how many young people I have known who have dropped out so they could work and help pay the rent? Way too many! A study was done on the economic levels of people, and do you know what the main factor was that led to a life of poverty? Either dropping out of school or getting pregnant! Education, and in particular language development, is key to success in life! To read, understand, and have wisdom go hand and hand. Ecclesiastes 1:13

And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised.

 

10. Don’t fall for Satan’s trick of keeping you in ignorance, embittered over your poverty, angry at others who are not the ones to blame over the injustices in the world. The greatest injustice is that people do not worship their creator, God, learning all they can about everything. 

 

Ignorant people have invoked the degeneration of all people by worshipping the wrong people or the wrong things. How arrogantly people worship pop idols, politicians, and money forgetting that it was God who gave them intelligence and a consciousness to know that this is wrong. Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

 

Grammar and how we have the power of expression to turn it into sound waves in the air coming from our versatile voices, automatically recorded in our brains, is a miracle! The Word of God comforts us, instructs us and our repetition of it for millennia is what has helped us achieve intelligence. Thank God for your ability to speak! Speak His Word to others! Our own words might harm or discourage but God’s Word always uplifts and enlightens!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

 

2.I want you to answer this question. Does history just happen from circumstances or do people make the circumstances happen?

Do random events make up our past or did people plan those events? For Example, did World War II just happen, or was it planned to happen? If you think things just happen on their own, think again.

 

At that time all of the world’s leaders conspired and fought hard to obtain their positions. Everyone had a vison for the future. For example, the Germans wanted to rule the entire world and cleanse it ethnically! The Americans dreamed to stop that evil and have each country’s sovereignty and ethnicity respected! It’s the same war today; it’s either oppressive dictatorships or republics with freedom! As described in the Daniel 2 statue, either iron or clay.

 

The world’s nations have a dream or vision inspired by their leaders but note that man proposes but it is God who disposes! We know the outcome of the past; God was on the side of the Allies as it wasn’t yet time for the anti-Christ to arise. Hitler was a type of anti-Christ, led by hate and the occult, but God allowed good to conquer evil then because Christian people fought. The question for you and me today is: What is your dream as an individual? The world leaders are going to do what they do and sadly wars and misguided goals destroy millions. But what can we do within the confines of our local world?

 

3. MLK Jr. said: I have a dream…I have a dream that….

Do you know what that was? It was that all the people would one day live without discrimination being judged by their character, and not by the color of their skin. This was a good dream, and much has improved since the 1960’s. It was needed and still needs to be envisioned and practiced everywhere but man’s sin of not having love for his neighbor stubbornly persists. The world needs Jesus! 

 

People do catch visions, or idealistic dreams and often these dreams are announced by men of God onto the people who want to accomplish something of value. We all want a cause to give our life to. It is better to die for something than to live for nothing! Right?

 

So, what is your dream for us to accomplish in this city? Corps?

It is God, and only God that permits your or my dreams to become reality. I propose we teach our children and family members the ways of the Lord, and that we all shine our lights of good works in the community, and pray that, even though we are few, that the community gets impacted by the Word of God! Proverbs 11:10

When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.

 

4. Here is another dreamer, a globalist-conquer-the-world type one: Did you know that when Napoleon met the Russian leader at the border of Europe after he had conquered Europe, said, “I will invade Russia, I will march on the streets of Moscow”! 

 

Napoleon had a dream. But the wise Russian leader responded, “Man proposes, but it is God who disposes!” Soon the winter snow caught and froze almost all the soldiers of Napoleon’s army and so many died that Napoleon had to retreat and He returned never to reach is dream. He was from then on reduced and defeated.

 

His dream was not within God’s will. His dream was only for himself and his desires. He was building his kingdom, not God’s kingdom. This has an analogy to many churches today, they want to grow, be rich, and take over the regions, but their dreams are for their own grandeur, and not for God’s glory. And sadly, people who get burnt from being a part of a “chosen-frozen” church that dries up in scandal due to an unrighteous pastor or corrupt congregation often lose their faith, vision, and dreams to serve Jesus! We must be careful what we are following! If it is not to grow God’s Kingdom, then we know it will fail as man’s kingdoms all fall and fail! The globalist today are building a world system, but it will only last a short time because Jesus will return and destroy it!

 

5. What is your dream, for God’s glory, or for yourself?  

How many of you are planning your future right now?

How many of you had a dream say 5 years ago and now you are living that dream now? Did you plan to be where you are today? God’s grace has brought us all through a lot of trials and hard times. 

 

Many people, including immigrants, often plan big to become rich and live the American dream only to never reach their goals! They are like Napoleon, deceived they have obtained something, not seeing how it will soon all be lost when adversity comes. Adversity comes to everyone and we cannot even walk without God’s hand pulling us through! Having the wrong dream in life makes you miss God’s plan as much as not having any dream at all!

 

Here in the scripture of Proverbs 29:18 we read that the people faint, the people lose hope, they perish if there is not a vision or dream to live for. People, you and I, we all get depressed without a dream to get better. The reality is the average person does not even have dreams for their lives. Some do get rich but the ones who gain the world are going to regret it one day when judgement comes. Mark 8:36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

 

6. We know we need faith to get God’s support. We must have God’s dream for our lives, in order to have confidence that God will answer us in our prayers. Most of just want our basic needs covered, right? 

James 1:6-7 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

 

There are many Christians that have not quite learned to have a dream for God yet and then have faith to carry it out.

It takes work, it takes study in the Bible and trying many things to discover what God’s goal is for you, what you are called to do!

If your dream in life is within God’s dream then you are going to have success and progress, happiness, peace, and blessings.

Jesus gave us dreams to do God’s will. He said in Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

 

Here we invite people to worship Jesus, we enroll the youth, and we teach the youth and adults God’s Word, and we know we are doing what will accomplish God’s blessings! 

 

7. Once your soul is saved you understand you are going to heaven to live forever in God’s Kingdom of love and happiness then after that all you want to do is live to see another soul saved too!

Your dream then will be focused on others, not yourself.

 

Jesus commanded us all in Mark 16:15

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

 

Jesus imparted a tremendously huge vision on us to win others to His Kingdom and that is a big challenge! If we consider the entire world, Christians are only about 20% of all the world’s religions! Today, we must have a tremendous vision in order to convert the 80% that do not seek God on Sunday or any day, and it starts with you and me converting our neighbors, family, and coworkers.

 

8. Why is there a Salvation Army in 130 countries, with over 3,000,000 members of Soldiers and volunteers carrying out the world’s largest rehabilitation service to alcoholics, and help to the poor? Plus, it has all happened in around 150 years! How?

 

You and I are here because William Booth had a dream that was in God’s will! Why am I here with the Salvation Army doing what I do? Because I caught God’s dream for my life! I had to forsake my dreams for God’s dreams and His are so much better!

 

In the verse of today, we understand we must obey God’s law to be happy with a future. In other words, history is full of examples of people who did not dream within God’s plan and their end was frustration and losses, never achieving their goals! I challenge you today to dream God’s dreams for our children, our community, and Corps.  

 

Dreaming within God’s plan, we will be happy and blessed achieving what God intends for you and me to accomplish! And for our children and babies, are you and I challenging them to dream of becoming someone great serving God? Or is your goal for them to build a personal kingdom? All things are a loss if not done for God’s kingdom? 

 

Have you dedicated your will and your dreams to God? Today, I challenge you to do it! Do you have God’s vision or your own?

1 Corinthians 9:23-25

 

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

 

2. You have heard that we as humans are compared to rats, that we all are running in the rat race? Have you ever thought about that, whether you agree with that analogy or not? Rats have no scruples, and they will trample on top of each other, they pee on each other, they even are known to kill their own babies! Rats are filthy and spread diseases, rats burrow in walls and destroy structures, rats will consume any poison and kill themselves…conclusion: some humans are in a rat race!

 

Why do people live in society running with such a frenzied competition to show off how great they are? Is it natural to want to compete feverously so much that you’ll practice harsh disciplines for years, such as body builders do, or sports athletes, so you can show off to a few thousand for a few minutes of glory? For mega-millions of people, the world of competition is their livelihood, passion, and destructive obsession.  Like what we see in the Olympics, its glory or shame! 

 

I think our world’s societies have fed our animal instincts for competition to the extreme far beyond what is healthy. I have a few friends now that were so competitive when they were young with football that currently, being older, they suffer from old wounds and can hardly walk because their knees (or other bones) are battered in bad shape. Is there an alternative in this world so we can race with people that are not rats in the rat race?

 

3. Here is something I conclude about our human condition: we all have a need to feel accomplished at something. We all need to earn a prize for something we’ve sacrificed for. Each person needs to feel good that we can win at something! It is a human desire to want to be valued by someone or at least by a few for what you can do that’s special, right? Do you not agree?

 

So, what can you do if you don’t have the muscle mass and speed to be an athlete? What can you do if you are not so talented at anything? If you can’t sing or dance? What if you can hardly express yourself in front of others, how can you compete in anything in this world? Well, for one, you need to evaluate if what you are dreaming to obtain is even worth competing for! Vain glory fades quickly!

 

I can tell you now that billions upon billions of dollars are invested every year on people who compete so they can train and develop an ordinary skill perfecting it into an extraordinary one. But for what? How long does it last? Is it for a high school trophy? Maybe for a 4-year college career?  For hanging a picture for the wall? For gold metals? Why are we spending so much energy and time on satisfying our base human needs when in the end we finish injured, heart-broken, or mad at our-selves or the world because someone else was so much better?

 

4. Any what about academic competition? Isn’t the intellectual world fierce and frightening! Far too many ignorant people are arrogantly full of pride from their studies which they use to humiliate you and me with… by daunting their positions, diplomas, and titles! The scriptures warn us of too much study. Ecclesiastes 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

 

The competitive intellectual types often become fools deceived by too much overload of confusing misinformation to the point they damage their own reasoning cognition.  Proverbs 26:12 “Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.” A lot of the illogical and crazy dumb ideas people adhere to today are initiated within the halls of academia where self-refuting philosophies predicate outcomes by self-replication. These hypocrites dictate to others how they should live and think while they exempt themselves from scientific-like analysis.

 

Here is my example of the higher learning confusion today. I could say to you, “Tall short men are happy”. The tendency of our competitive, I know more that you mentality, is to focus on how happy this person might be or not be. Do you think in general these types of men are happy? Stop! This is not the argument, the argument is predicated on a paradox contradiction, a self-refuting non-existent predicate as there exists no tall short men anywhere! Men that are tall (and) short is an oxymoron.  You have one or the other! But in the prideful human mind there is always a twisting of meanings so that a tall short man becomes a creature that can exist, but ignorant ones like you and me, are deniers of this because we lack the educational capacity to accept the quantum states of 2 opposite things being able exist at the same time?! Nonsense, right? And these types of argumentative tactics are used to confuse subjects immersed in competitive academia so that moral wrongs can also be right, and therefore possible in someone’s world. But not in our Christian world of truth! Alternative facts, ha!

 

5. My opinion, I for one, do not enjoy competition in the world amongst the rats! Some competition does have its place and keeps some people happy and busy, so they avoid getting into some other trouble, but is it worth it? No matter how perfect you get, there will always come along some other arrogant ignoramus that will show you up and beat you! Often people win by cheating, so what is the point of competing if it means losing to cheaters? Like in the political world!

 

I have good news for you, you who are followers of Jesus, you do not have to compete in this world’s rat eat rat race, you can drop out! It’s ‘tune in, turn on, and drop out’ time (Remember that from the 1960s?), but doing it for the right reasons! As a Christian our existence is not predicated on how fast we are, on how pretty or handsome we are, on how skilled in sports we are, or on how intelligent we are.  Our race is not against those who want to win a trophy and gloat, our race is one against time to do all we can for Jesus before our life is over!

 

In the verses of today Paul is challenging all of us to compete in the race to win our rewards in heaven. Our rewards will be evaluated by God on the souls we saved and trained for God’s service. There are a billion Christians in the world to compete against but how many are sincerely looking for a way to make Jesus proud of them for how they dedicatedly compete in the race? 

 

6. If you want to run in a race you must train, right? Some train by running 5 or 10 miles daily, or 4 to 8 hours. Imagine if Christians spent that amount of time on the study of God’s word? The whole world would be ablaze over the Christian furor to spread the good news! 

 

When I was younger, I was more competitive than now. I would take pride in how many Bible verses I could memorize, how many people on the street I could get to say the salvation prayer, and how many hours I’d put in each day for Jesus.

 

But this brings me to another point, the Christian race is not about how much better I am than you, about how I am a more righteous and holier Christian than you, the race is about learning to live disciplined, moderate, and faithful. 2: Cor. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Temperate here means as it says, ‘in all things!’ And not to be extreme to the point of killing yourself for Jesus, temperate means you do to the fullest the calling that God has for you!

 

7. You, each of you that are real Christians, are called to be in God’s race, and this race is against time to do all you can for Jesus! You and I must go now because He says not to put it off. John 4:35 ‘Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.’ Our destined time to live may stop soon. Only God knows when our time is no more so we must prepare and be ready! Look how many people die all the time and people say, ‘Oh he (she) was so young!’ How unexpected! And what about what they did for Jesus?

 

We all have seen overconfident people, those who think they don’t need to train, or do so much for Jesus, because after all they grew up going to church?! But it is not longevity of service that matters as much as what was done that was effective for God’s work. We are in a race for souls, and we want to do as much as we can for as many as we can for as long as we can.

 

It is like the story of the race between the tortoise and the hare. The hare was so fast and so far ahead in the race that he decided to take a long nap in the middle of the race, but the turtle kept on faithfully and slowly until what? You know the answer, the tortoise won! We have to race until we die! Revelation 2:10 (b) ‘Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.’

 

8. When we get to heaven some amazing wins will be revealed of little known faithful people that we never imaged! The repentant drug dealer or prostitute might have had so much passion for souls for Jesus and ‘ran the race’ so well that they out shine the many others who ran too slow or with too much confidence that they do enough. To race does not mean to stand still watching others run! Never live unchallenged comfortably at church as some do for decades producing no fruit or a win for Jesus.

 

Salvation is for all who receive Jesus but the rewards at the end of race are distinct for what you do. Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. So, some shine brighter than others, so let’s invest in eternity!

 

So, get in the Christian race! The trophy you will win will not rust and then get donated to the thrift store after you die! It will be a prize that will last forever in a new heavenly world, in a new shining heavenly body. 

 

9. In closing here is a very convicting verse. Hebrews 12:1 ‘Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,’ This verse implies that all the angels in heaven are watching you and me run. But in order to win you and I have to give up that which is holding us back (our sins) and be persistent, training with patience. And in a race, it is alright if you fall down, alright to get thirsty and exhausted and take a water (of the word) break when needed, and alright to need others healing your cuts and scrapes!

 

2 ‘Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.’ Wow! If Jesus did that much, then we too should ‘lay down our lives for the brethren’. What a winner He was, what an example!

 

If you do not know how to train or how to race, then you are in the right place to learn! That’s what all this modus operandi of church is all about, to train disciples who can train more disciples. So, jump into God’s race and forget the world’s races with all the vain arrogant boasters! You will never regret, as I haven’t, for running for Jesus! And you will gain eternal life and rewards in heaven! Your race is to run hard to preach the gospel in word and in deed and to never give up!
