Colossians 2:8

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

2. How many of you have known Christians, even Salvation Army Soldiers, that have fallen for popular cultic movements within modern-day Christianity? There have been, and still are, movements of prosperity, movements of faith healers, movements of sexual freedoms, movements of including perverse ones in the church with diametrically opposed convictions, yet some people are gullible and swallow anything! May you never be guilty of this heresy! Always observe & pray!

Prideful people always think they know better than God’s Word! We do the best we can to get you to study the Bible for yourself, to pray daily, and be guided by the Holy Spirit and if not, you are doomed as the battles will get to be more intense! You will lose your way and probably end up worshipping Satan if your faith is complainy and shallow! Sounds harsh, right? But Jesus was harsh as He described the full-of-their selves folks as hypocrites and said in Matthew 23:24 “Blind guides, who strain at a gnat and swallow a camel!

Today more than ever there is an assault on the Christian church, on true Christians, and on those who will speak up for the truth opposing sin. It so bad a majority of Christians will not bring up any controversial topic as they do not want to be the brunt of an attack. But sin is sin, and the results are the same, the unredeemed sinners end up in bondage to cruel controlling people in power, by powers infiltrated in all areas of society, in government, in entertainment, in business, and the rest. Satan is behind it all and his esoteric symbols are everywhere! Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

3. Today I want to bring your attention to a movement that subliminally influences the sermons of the many compromised famous and non-Biblical-based preachers, those promoting prosperity.  It is the one of the ‘Seven Mountains’ illusion, that Christians can begin to control many aspects of the world just by pursuing them. Friends, we are not in post-millennial times! Recall how when Satan tempted Jesus, that he offered Him the world if He would bow  to him, but He did not (contrary to other fallen millions) Herein lies the proof, Satan has usurped God’s creation and controls this world with his deceptions and temptations but Jesus will return to take it back one day. I can’t wait for that day!

Jesus said in John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” With this knowledge, and with the Holy Spirit discernment, there is no excuse for any Christian to ever be deceived and not see through the manipulation devices of the devil. Never think the grass is greener with some other popular, rich, Christian church as evidence usually indicates that the more wealthy, the more popular, then the more Satanic controlled it is!Luke 6:26

Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

4. Let’s start with business, can Christians take over the commerce of the world? No! A few mega-millionaire Christian businesses exist, but very few and after the tech market explosion, even fewer Christian businesses dominate. Most of the world’s wealth is generated by exploited labor (human trafficking), predatory lending, pyramid schemes, the sale of arms, legal and illegal drugs, and on and on. 

Many of the world’s billionaires use their money to distract others with controversies, supporting causes that clash with Christian values (to try to get rid of them) and no one gets on their mountain! Most of the world’s money is passed down to serpentine bloodline families and they know how to play the masses against one another to gain more wealth and power! 13 families control over half the world’s wealth! And they are not going to spread it around anytime soon!

The love of money, and debt, has almost the whole world in bondage! For contract deals for fame, for business money deals, people will literally say, “I now sell my soul to the devil”, and how horrific that in hell they will repent eternally one day!  As Christians we must glorify God by doing all our business in honesty, but to tell Christians they should be trying to get as rich as they can is a disastrous message! Jesus never owned a home (Matthew 8:20 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”) Wealth is not our passion, but souls for Jesus is!

5. How should we as Christians deal with the government? I think a few righteous people should pursue positions of influence, Paul went to Rome to witness to the highest powers (It did cost him his head though!) Notice that God does raise up Josephs, Esthers, and Daniels to represent his people. We should agree, some people are called to authoritative positions, but if the motive is power, pride, and privilege, then the motive is totally wrong. God must exalt us, not evil men. 

Christians must be involved in the local community to influence Godly outcomes when possible, but quite often Christians are so turned off by the evil aggressive opponents who attack them that they abandon the powers that be to the enemy. 

If Christians are indifferent to the government imposing laws, then they are setting their selves up to be murdered (or their babies to be murdered) by giving no resistance to the Satanic despots to do as they please against the laws of God. This playbook repeats itself in history over and over as it was in Egypt, Rome, and as it currently is in anti-God, anti-Christ nations. Defend Christianity, but don’t expect to govern the world, only Jesus with His return can accomplish that one!

6. Family matters: Christians have the right to run their own families, but they are losing that right quite rapidly! Families are under attack by anti-God laws! The original family model from Genesis is mocked and considered obsolete by some confused modern advocates, but in the end it is up to you to be an example of a good Christian family for the world to see. 

People should be envious of the sweetness and innocence of our children. 

1 Timothy 3:4 One who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence. What did God tell His children from the beginning out of Egypt? Exodus 18:20 And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do.

Strong families make strong communities and it seems we are losing this battle with so much divorce and broken families. The fatherless experiment we have conformed to has reaped violent consequences, that of producing frustrated youth who have increased in criminal, gang, and drug activities. When a man and woman want to be together as a family for the kids who are learning about God’s ways, it is our utmost duty to support them!

7. Religion: As Christians we always let it be known that we have a relationship, not a religion! Satan has given the word ‘religion’ a bad connotation and most minds revert to the hypocritical bad examples. But this is due to the fact that Satan has always infiltrated all religions (yes, even in the Christian ones), and it is actually Lucifer himself that has damaged the ‘religions’ and made them hypocritical, dull, and contradictory. Lucifer created the false religions in rebellion to the worship of God fabricating idols (Baphomet), and the worship of fallen angels (summoning demons), of hybrid abominable creatures (ancient Babylon, Egypt, and current trans-(animal or machine) humans, with ridiculous frustrating rituals which most often require human sacrifice; and this still happens today! How many people in the news die young from suicides or accidents that were involved in secret ritualistic cults? Many untimely deaths are no coincidence because with Satan you cannot switch your religion to love Jesus and get away with it!  

We practice an active faith and some call it ‘religion’ like this, James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world”. So we must be ashamed of and debunk the world’s false “religions” as their greed of power, wealth, and oppressive traditions is evil. And many large world ‘religions’ command their people to murder those that are not a part of their religion or want to leave it! This is murderous Lucifer’s way! Choose Jesus way who loves, forgives, and makes you full of joy and life!

William Booth said this, "I consider that the chief dangers which confront the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost; Christianity without Christ; forgiveness without repentance; salvation without regeneration; politics without God; and Heaven without Hell." This describes many Christian churches today, how tragic!

8. How can Christians dominate the media? With porn, commerce, and entertainment dominating 90% or more, Christians have a very hard time competing for attention to share the gospel! I post a lot of news that exposes injustices, and I post paragraphs of my sermons and thought provoking quotes, but too few Christians post anything Christian ever! 

I deduct that probably only 1/3 or less of Christians or preachers even bring up the subject of the gospel online and that is tragic! It would be nice if Christians would shine their light in the media but it is not happening hardly at all! When is the last time you posted about Jesus, or forwarded a sermon? Obey Matt. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (if not you are denying Jesus by silent absence and He will deny you before God)

And to make matters worse, most people employed by the high tech firms are working to censure anything pertaining to Jesus or Biblical values! 9. Education, can be good or bad, it all depends on what. 1 Timothy 6:20 “O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge 21 by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith”. God wants us educated in His teachings but not so much in the teachings of the world which almost always contradict His Word!

It’s sad but true that many young Christians go off to college only to get isolated like a lost sheep amongst the wolves, and to get  brainwashed out of their faith by evil, arrogant, fraud committing perverted fools. How many fail God because they fall for the indoctrination and intimidation of the false sciences as evolution, the politically correct demagoguery, and the fabricated data concerning global geo thermal events along with sanctioning murderous political doctrines. Colleges teach anything to get grant funding from mega billionaires with sinister agendas. 

The education system today is not designed to expand the mind and make you more intelligent but principally it is designed for the contrary within a system to make you get credits in whatever they decide (most turn out to be a waste of time) as they exploit money from you using one as a pawn for the political systems. And many poor students, who will have to pay back the $50,000 to $100,000 college debt for up to 10 years after graduation! Please, learn about the Bible first and really pray about what you let into your mind as it may enslave you mentally, financially, and spiritually!

10. And finally entertainment, how does God feel about it? Charles Spurgeon said, “A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats’. I think God is pleased when we do attractive events to gather crowds for the purpose of spreading the gospel and saving souls. And a few thousand good Christian movies do exist but we are outnumbered probably 10,000 to one! Very few movie stars, or musicians are authentic Christians and I don’t see Christians ever dominating that industry. 

And sad but true some mega-Laodicean churches of today have made their worship and sermons into entertaining manipulation circuses often comparable to flashy rock concerts! So if it is that then it is not a Holy Spirit experience convicting others to repent and worship God but rather a concocted emotional group-think, subliminal, hypnotic feel-good suggestable spell which many go under predisposed to accept.  

More and more we are discovering that the encoding of most productions of music and movies reveal they glorify and thank Satan for their inspiration! How sick, right?  So conclusively we see that Satan has thoroughly infiltrated the world’s businesses, governments, families, religions, media, education, and entertainment. The sad reality is Jesus knew how it all would play out, with Satan accomplishing complete dominance in everything in the world. 

The Biblical prophecies reveal it, Satan will not stop until he can enslave the souls of all people, and the end comes with the mark of the beast! Those with the mark will worship him, that murdering filthy fallen angel fraud! What despicable heresy! And it will happen with the consent of the majority of earth’s unperceptive, spiritually asleep people because they have been preconditioned and brainwashed to accept Satan’s control over all things. Sadly, many so called Christians who have deceived their selves with dreams of grandeur to dominate in this world will fit right in to Satan’s final hierarchy. Today you are warned, get out of anything compromising your soul, especially any illusion that God will empower you in Satan’s world. You and I will only reign with power after Jesus returns and that is if we are faithful until the death to earn that promised crown of life!

Luke16:19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell[d] from the rich man’s table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

2. Have you ever noticed how people avoid dealing with others who have a disability? Or those down and out? You are in a grocery store and a blind person is walking with a guide as a friend, how do people react? Have you noticed people often just silently move out of the way? How do you respond? Most glance a few seconds, then avoid them and say nothing. You can observe the stress on the bystanders faces indicating that they don’t even want to think about the subject of living without sight! It’s sad true that hardly anyone tries to befriend them!

In the grocery stores in this town many people salute you and say, ‘Good morning!’ and that friendliness breaks the ice. This is evidence of a cultured, honorable, friendly society that is open to connect with others. White, black, or tattooed, no matter the type of person, you feel a peace that they recognize your existence and will look you in the eyes to salute you. But consider the poor or  blind people. By my experience few say, ‘Good morning’ to them. Sad isn’t it? Shouldn’t they get treated the same, or maybe even better with more attention and care? Life is unfair because we inherited sin in a fallen world, but God is not unjust, he rewards according to the good or evil we do. God wants to see how you will treat others that have less than you.

3. Don’t you hate it how the education level and respect for others has degenerated in our society in the past decades? It’s worldwide! How is it some people think that with their hateful attitudes, illogical attacks, and trick political questions that they are improving things? If I speak up for the poor (which are financially disabled, like many of us here) and propose we  help a certain part of town (let’s suppose it is a Vietnamese area). Why is it today that suddenly out of the woodwork, there comes a critical response such as, “You have no right to speak up for them because you are a rich white man, not one of them , and you have no right to defend what you think that these people need! You are privileged and disqualified!” What? Why do people want to disqualify the good one can do? People are being led to contradict God’s compassion! Too many people with great wealth are already cold hearted without this new platform from the pc police!

Contrary to the rich man in our verses today, consider the ability of a person with many resources and a desire to help others less fortunate, wanting to do good.  Often, instead of getting a ‘thank you, and let’s work together’, sometimes the person gets a rebuke and an insult over their race and wealth. It was God that made each of us, and the misled people are quick to decry, ‘Racist!’ And these usually are the ones who are truly ‘racists’ preventing good to be done! Proverbs 23:7 (a) ‘For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.’ These emotionally mis-wired individuals stifle social progress. These types accuse others, presuming negative things about all people and about the rich, harboring pre-fed lies from evil sources. Good is stifled because of gross ignorance!  This idiocy and mis-information has been preprogramed in them by bitter, hateful, godless people in our societies. Bad info comes from ones in one’s family, school, and even religion, depending on which one it is! Question everything! You might be on the wrong highway because of your lack of understanding and lack of love for others, on the highway to hell! Lately, society has few provisions for those who are different, disabled, or outcast. The mindset of Nazi Germany is back and those with these calloused hearts claim others are the Nazis?! Hypocrisy at its height.  

In the story of Lazarus the beggar, a disabled man with terrible sores, there was prejudice there coming from the prideful, rich man. The presumption of the rich man, who may have even been a religious man, was that he would never be in the shoes of a beggar or disabled person. So what did it matter to him to throw him a bone or piece of bread from the table so Lazarus could eat it like a dog?  Here Jesus is warning the rich, your crumbs are not enough! But this injustice still continues today: How unlovingly the arrogant politicians, world leaders, and business owners (several, not all) only give crumbs to help with the needs of the poor, sick, and disabled. Jesus sees all and the tables will be turned one day!

4. Referring to those of special needs or disabilities, I have spoken up many times for people with special needs. No one can tell me I have no right to speak up, that I don’t know what it’s like, because I have a son that was born deaf and no one has walked in my, and my wife’s shoes, for 7,000 plus days raising him. But I know we are blessed! Jesus I know heard every prayer and felt every tear as we fought to keep him protected and educated, even daily in the dangerous parts of LaPaz, Caracas, Bogota, and Miami. All of us had to learn 2 sign languages, Spanish and English. But the bullying, ridicule, and many things have been very challenging for Paul and us. And when you care for someone different, you never think it is a sacrifice, it is just what you do!

Today I am very proud of him! Imagine, he has total deafness, tunnel vision from Lupus (causing retinal pigmentosa) and he also has diabetes. And what is his attitude? Is he home hiding in self-pity getting a government check complaining because life is unfair? No, the opposite! He is married, is raising 2 boys, working everyday, and he produces informative Vlogs to connect with other deaf people across the nation teaching them how to eat healthy, understand the Bible, and how to laugh at funny things as well. 

When life is tough, the tough get going! My wife and I will never fully understand why God chose us to raise a deaf son, but we have been comforted by this verse, John 9:3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.” Many years ago God comforted me through His Spirit that we are a chosen ones, that me and my wife are special and called, trusted to do a great work with many people of many languages, cultures, and needs. And after 40 years, that’s how it has been! We have led Bible groups for the deaf and in Spanish living in 5 different countries (USA makes 6).Now, in Winchester, VA we deal with many issues of those who speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and sign language. Special needs exist everywhere and with love we must adapt to serve in their world. ‘Become one’, with others, is what Paul said.

5.   What are you dealing with? How bad is it ? Let’s look at the case of Lazarus! He was poor and sick and did not have too much longer to live. And dogs licking his sores?! But despite that poverty, did he curse God for it all? No, instead he just humbly ate what he could get and lived out his days until he went to heaven to get his reward! He loved God despite his conditions, how many people do that?

Lazarus, contrary to the high rich city official, did not get to do any hob-knobbing with the rich, he did not get to party and go on any exotic vacations, instead he was stuck, stuck in one place. I presume his time daily must have been used up in prayers. How unfair his life was! Or not? He went to heaven!

I think all of us suffer over understanding this one. How is it life for some seems to give them a silver spoon (but later that spoiled wasteful opulence may cause that spoon to be their tool for heroine use) while life for others seems to provide them with an extreme poverty, sickness, disability, or some socio-economical discriminated disadvantage? Fallen man keeps the evil pyramid system going!

The only answer is there is a heaven and hell! In this life, governed by evil people, we see there will never be a true justice, equality, compassion, and service to others as there should be because the prideful, the rich, and the powerful despot leaders will never be, in their majority, controlled by God’s love. The more we read the more we learn that heartless, murderous Satan has been controlling family dynasties, communism, and oppressive false religions for millennium! 

6. This is the answer Jesus gave us concerning the world’s injustices, that the suffering ones now will go on to get heaven later, while the selfish prideful ones now with their heartless selfish opulence, get hell later! It does seem wrong that some get so much in this life while others, due to some disability, sickness, or impoverished conditions, do not get to ever relax and enjoy life! 

And life, according to the way our modern society under Satan’s greed and vanity cloud has shaped it, places on most everyone many unrealistic expectations to appear perfect. It is a shame how others from our own families, schools, and God forbid even churches, intimidate you and me on how much one should be spending and showing off. We need to get back to a simple lifestyle of just enjoying each other, playing guitar and singing together and praising God! And few people ever consider spending time with a person in a wheelchair or serving someone disabled, or visiting people in a rest home or jail like many Salvation Army folks do. Have you visited or helped someone lately? 

I recall confronting the issue in my own kids of why don’t we have more than what we have. Why do we have a deaf brother, isn’t God good? Why are we so poor serving God? The reality is, in this country more than in others, we are not poor at all and never have we been bone thin and destitute! With all the basics, we always live very blessed! Most people like us here (except for about 20% of the populous) eat well daily, dress appropriately, get electronic toys, and get some education. How many things are just taken for granted? After 14 years abroad in poor countries in So. America, all of us from our family know extremely well how much we actually have in the USA.! And we should help those in our neighborhood and those abroad as much as we can because Jesus fed them and healed them and we have that same mission, to care for their souls and needs.  

7. Even children can observe that some kids and adults arrogantly flaunt their talent, wealth, and position having no compassion on those that suffer or deal with poverty or disabilities. Also, what a sin and tragedy that some kids that have disabilities get abandoned by their own! How little love they often get growing up! The divorce rate of parents with disabled kids is extremely high! How unfair right? God wants to judge others by how they respond to those with physical needs, or a disability. Remember the rich young ruler lost heaven for not sharing!

God obviously does not intervene in all cases of need (Jesus healed many multitudes though!). I conclude then that He is often waiting to see how those people nearby closest to the ones with needs will respond. How did the rich man, with no name, respond to Lazarus? He feed him crumbs! How insulting and sad! Life here is a school and preparation for the next one, and so many people fail the test! They fail to love, fail to show a true compassion, and they fail to be thankful to God, loving God and doing for others what they cannot do for their selves! 

How will you respond if you have to take care of a very hard situation? Life is long and you never know what you may have to deal with in the future! Many arrogant people have gotten their share of children with unusual diseases or disabilities. We live in a fallen world, made imperfect by the rebellious angels demons, contaminating our gene pools and spirits, provoking people to make evil choices. Undesired consequences occur but often God’s intervening wrath takes place on those who insult their creator and His creatures. God is angry with indifferent faithless arrogant fools who harm his innocent ones by a lack of compassion.

8. And now the final results in Luke 16:22 The beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The misassumption that the rich, prideful, arrogant ones have is that they will be rewarded in the next life for sharing their crumbs (if they even believe in one) and be in good with God and His people (in this case Lazarus) for what they gave to the poor. If all they did was heartlessly give left overs while they partied on, how unjust, right? How cruel their indifference to the needs of the poor and helpless is! Is God fair in judgement? Yes! If a person lived as a demon, heartless, unloving, disrespecting God and his commands to show real compassion, is it wrong that God allows their soul to be in the jail of hell? I agree with God, the souls of these types of demons that do not repent must stay in the jail of hell or else their spirit, in some other body, will just keep repeating the same carnal actions of exploitations, debauchery, and injustices.

This is the hard part for those of the world to swallow from the Words of Jesus, that some go to heaven and some go to hell. God has allowed this fallen world to continue on its trek for a few thousand years to prove to all humanity and the angels and the demons, that it matters not how much wealth or power you gain, how much fortune you may have, or how many crumbs you give to the poor, unless you are willing to love those who suffer in a real sacrificial way, doing special things for them, then you are just another worthless soul. The suffering poor and disabled go on to share heaven with Abraham, Jesus, and the saints, while those who are heartless and disobedient, even if they claim they know about Jesus, will get judged to share their lot with the heartless rebellious.

9. In my life I have met very few families where the ultra-rich ones shares significantly to help the poor ones. Greed, wealth, power, all corrupt, and if God hasn’t spoiled you with excess, thank him for it but share it if you get it! And if God has sent you difficult challenges or an uneventful average life, praise Him for that as well! Did I get help from others saying, ‘Let me come to your home and teach you sign language and care for your deaf son with my skills?’ Do you think people have so much love they intervene to really do something meaningful? Very few, too few, where are the real Christians!? The Salvation Army (me and my wife do all we can) serve and millions of others do too, but it is still a drop in the bucket compared to the needs of the entire world, to help the hungry, the poor, the homeless, the uneducated, and the sick or disabled. But do your part!

The weight to help with the deaf community was on me and my wife’s shoulders. Our world is in a horrible mess! Not many who care for the disabled and poor do it with love as they should. I see few case workers, doctors, and even pastors serving with love and passion as they should! The world is unloving and cruel because Jesus is not worshipped and obeyed! Hitler had all disabled people killed, Satan in people have no mercy and they kill with evil words, indifference, and a lack of compassion.

James 5:1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. 4 Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. 5 You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.  

Pray to become one of the generous sacrificial people of God who sincerely help the suffering, the poor, and disabled. How nice it could have been if this story of Lazarus had ended with he and the rich man being together in heaven because the rich man did his best to help him!

Jesus gave all of humanity a warning, so please listen and learn, see with your eyes and hear with your ears and serve the poor, the disabled, and those who suffer. Let’s pray…

Jesus Will Return: How ready Are You to Battle Until the End?    By Kelly Durant

Matthew 24:41-43 New King James Version (NKJV)

41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

2. What if someone told you, “Hey, you need to train your body to be strong for a serious event that will happen to you!” Would you prepare? Let’s assume you keep have a recurring dream that you feel is from the Lord that you crash with a group of cars on the highway and then suddenly you need to be the hero lifting a 220 pound body out of a car turned upside down.

What should you do about it? If you were smart and you believe in communications from God, from the spirit, you would start lifting weights to get strong because there exists a real probability it will happen and only if you are strong enough would you be ready! There is no doubt, an evil storm is coming to attack all Christians, the demons are getting empowered, and are you prepared to battle them?

Every Christian, no matter the time period, has had to go through horrible persecutions, and it really does appear like we are in the end times as Christians are being disenfranchised, mocked, and killed so how can you get ready spiritually? You can be ready only by preparing yourself to be spiritually strong!

3. When things get tough, the tough get going! Never forget, all Christians are to be Soldiers fighting a war, defending yourself from evil. 2 Timothy 2:3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

The rules are to obey Jesus commands! On a scale of one to 10, where are you with Jesus? Are you weak and a 1 or 2? You only tolerate the church, the Corps, and the Captains, so you can enjoy the fellowship or some benefit? Are you a 5? Half the time you complain about how things are not like you like them and half the time you are content? Or are you a 8 or a 10? You really look forward to learning about the Bible and finding a way to serve others and you know having faith is the most important thig in your life?

I always pray for each of you, that your spiritual eyes will be open. Life is so much more than pleasing your own spoiled self like many lukewarm Christians do and as people of the world do today.  1 John 2: 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

4. I think all of us want to be more prepared for Jesus to come, to be more spiritual, but spirituality it itself is not the end goal of a Christian. The ultimate goal of a Christian must be to have a relationship with Jesus to the point you live a holy life! The goal is to be connected with Jesus so deep that He makes your mind spark with joy when you hear His Word. His Word and Holy Spirit will awaken indescribable emotions which will spark a passion that makes you just want to go out and love and do good to everyone! Especially for those who are suffering!

Remember you and I have suffered ourselves in times past and it was to prepare us making us ‘better’ not ‘bitter’! How many of you have ever had a supernatural experience from a dream, a flash of a vision, or some strange circumstance in which you could perceive you were being guided by a supernatural force to get out of danger? Most everyone has! Through the good and bad Jesus prepares us!

You like me have probably had a near death experience in traffic and afterwards you felt like God somehow made the car brake faster than normal, or in a milli-second you turned away and only God could have saved the moment! God does have a purpose in your life, and in mine, but we must be tuned into Him to not be a deserter, or a Christian that is AWOL (Away without official leave).

5. If we were to travel around the world and look at every culture throughout time you and I could discover that people have always been seeking a unique spiritual experience; as humans we often want affirmation that God really is there, and He really is! The protection, the unexpected good things, all point to a God who love us, and He wants us to love Him back!

It is a part of our spiritual nature to want to experience the unexplainable. We are emotional beings and we want to feel something to affirm that we are taken into account by God Himself. You have to be careful today as imitations, and the new age false religions or the false Christian churches, are selling fake hopes and promises filling the ears of the weak Christians with lies so they can possess them.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

6. Satan will deceive your soul if you are not preparing to battle all the lies he will put in your head. He will tempt you to go to a different wealthy church where the people ‘have more fun’ without asking you to volunteer and help the poor.

I have seen it over and over, the ones that leave our compassionate Salvation Army church are not humble loving souls but usually ones that are inflated with pride. These are ones who want to be recognized as extra special and get extra special privileges and be the pastors pet, but that is a pride evil that deceives souls so you and I must pray for each other and for our own selves or we are not preparing to be strong for the return of Jesus.

If a person is not here, or in any church, for Jesus then they are going to get lost over time, and sadly they will move into a fellowship where the people will praise them according to their own ideas of selfish egotistical ‘I’m more spiritual than you’ standards. We need to warn the weak Christians here and everywhere that if they get deceived by the devil and lose their way, it will not end well for them. Luke 9:23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.

7. If you are a blood and fire Christian, then you are saved and also baptized with the Holy Spirit fire that Jesus left for His followers and this fills your hunger for the spiritual like nothing else can! I have meet hundreds of people who have gotten ‘God bumps” (like goose bumps) just from hearing the Word, or hearing a testimony of a miracle, and being more than a feeling, the Holy Spirit literally changes (our) people’s lives! Has your life been transformed like this so that you are focused solely on Jesus and not yourself?

When I was a teenager I made huge mistakes in my life getting into the sins of the world. If you love music and Hollywood, Satan will tempt you to imitate those lost souls! I have seen myself and other weak Christians consume drugs, and join in with people that inflate your pride. Some get back to Jesus, but others don’t!

A principle danger for Christians today is the new fake Christianity, which promises to fill your inordinate egotistical dreams. It is a temptation to be pridefully recognized for being more spiritual, or more inclusive of the unrepentant sinful folks who are there to cause dissentions. But it is all Satan’s illusion to inflate one’s pride! Satan is getting vast numbers to compromise, to leave church or to submit to some hypocritical church leader instead of the gospel Jesus taught. A little leaven of the prideful self-righteous Pharisees inflates the whole bread!

8. You are going to have to prepare your spirit to have enough spiritual strength for that future moment when trials come. This comes from daily prayer, the study of God’s Word, by having a rewired brain controlled by the Holy Spirit, and also with a Soldier’s mindset that you resist temptation and evil in your life.

If Satan tempted Jesus, how much more is he going to tempt you to move on and fail God?! You must get ready as evil will attack you personally! You might even get tempted this month to leave the church, but those who sincerely love Jesus will remain faithful this month and for the rest of their lives until He returns.

Will you confess today that you have been weak and that you desperately need more of Jesus to help you to endure until the end? Not everyone will make it, only the faithful ones who hear Jesus words and obeys them. James 1:12

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Revelation 2:10 (b) Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Get ready! God could take you home when you least expect it as stated in Matthew 24! Never be as the foolish person going through the chores of life who was not vigilant and ready! Prepare now for tomorrow, He’s coming soon!
