Poets Praises

Immanuel Kant -- A single line in the Bible has consoled me more than all the books I ever read besides.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe -- The Bible grows more beautiful, as we grow in our understanding of it.

Sir Walter Scott -- The most learned, acute, and diligent student cannot, in the longest life, obtain an entire knowledge of the Bible. The more deeply he works the mine; the richer and more abundant he finds the ore.

Charles Dickens -- The New Testament is the best book the world has ever known or will know.

Helen Keller -- The Bible gives me a deep, comforting sense that ’things seen are temporal, and things unseen are eternal’.

ARE YOU DIFFERENT OR INDIFFERENT?

I wanted to make a world's that different
But friends self satisfied left me indifferent
They said you're a dreamer, why not conform?
But the unjust allowed to others they'll soon to you perform

The vain, the cruel, the hypocrisy
Are accepted as normality
By the indifferent majority
Who conform as slaves to society

I wanted to make a world that's different
But those self satisfied left me indifferent
They said, 'Come off your cloud, be one of us'
But to descend to the low  is to rot and to rust

The vice, the stress, the bureaucracy
Brainwash unconsciously
The indifferent majority
Who form the norms of society

Now that I'm making a world that's different
It’s clear the most suffered are the indifferent
Who permitted immorals to grow as wild weeds
Now see few flowers with sweet different deeds

Misassumptions Poem

MISASSUMPTIONS

How words limit what we mean and feel!
How do I discover what you don't reveal?
Let there be time to make an appeal
For an assumption may not be real

Before I'm classified, judged and filed
Recall how one's thoughts tend to run wild
And if it's you to be reconciled?
Don't with assumptions be beguiled

And so if you judge with thoughts assumed
The truth will shine and leave you consumed
When in doubt, shouldn't one be notified?
How the assumption must be verified!

Share pain & compassion with others..

Reflections after doing tornado relief in Miss, & Ala: returning after 14 days

So many people avoid pain, they turn off the News when they see those crying to God to save them from destruction. They can't wait until the Casinos reopen. But pain is God's way of getting our attention. Many are the masses on board the endless trains of the faithless and normality for them is survival in a cold and callus world. They would never consider praying to, nor seeking, this normally gentle loving God that selects purposes in every detail. Pride prevents them because they have life figured out for themselves in their cool couth world of self importance. Oh, that people would love and comfort with a profound soul shaking empathy, for that is how God does it through Jesus!

Join in...
Share pain with others
For it is like a controlled forest fire
To clean your forest of dead leaves
In your latent soul.
But if you do not join in,
The fires of opportunity;
When a fire rushes in
Your vulnerable life,
It may burn all completely!
